录取要求

Possess a bachelor's degree with honors not lower than Second Class Lower Division or with an average grade of not lower than 'B'; AND

Provide a GMAT score report (The validity period for GMAT score results is 5 years from the test date)

Applicants shall request an original of GMAT score report (School Copy) from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), and send to the MAcc Program Office directly.

The validity period for GMAT score results is 5 years from the test date

The GMAT Institution code for MAcc Program is R9H-0W-20.

GRE is accepted in lieu of GMAT and the GRE Institution/ Department code is R3153/ 4001.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

Possess a pass grade in English in one of the following examinations: Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (AS Level); Hong Kong Higher Level Examination; CUHK Matriculation Examination; OR

Achieve Level 4 or above in the English Language subject of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination; OR

Have a degree from a university in Hong Kong or an English-speaking country; OR

Submit one of the following original score reports/certificates for assessment by the program(s) concerned: TOEFL (Institution Code: 0812); GMAT (verbal); IELTS (Academic); OR

Have obtained a recognized professional qualification awarded in Hong Kong or an English speaking country.

Qualification Assessment

Applicants with degrees awarded by overseas universities through distance learning programs or through the completion of a curriculum of short duration are required to provide an assessment report from the Hong Kong Council of Academic Accreditation & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) on the level of qualification obtained.

Concurrent Registration

Students cannot be registered simultaneously in any other courses of study or research leading to the award of a degree, diploma or certificate either at The Chinese University of Hong Kong or at any other tertiary institution, unless an application has been submitted in advance to the graduate division concerned, endorsed by the faculty concerned and approved by the Graduate Council. Students who breach this regulation will be required to discontinue their studies at the University.

2. A photocopy of Degree Certificate(s) / Study Proof of all tertiary-level studies; and/or certificate(s) of recognized professional qualifications.

3. Official transcript(s) and grading scheme(s) of all tertiary-level studies issued by University Secretariat.

[For non-CUHK Qualifications] One official transcript (non-returnable) in a sealed envelope of the issuing University, sent directly to the MAcc Program Office.

[For CUHK Qualification] A photocopy of official transcript(s), both the front and back sides, issued by CUHK. Note that Academic Reports with no graduation status will NOT be accepted.

4. GMAT / GRE score report taken in 5 years from the test date

- 1 copy of the test taker score report

- 1 official score report (School Copy), sent directly to the MAcc Program Office by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC)

5. An original and copy of TOEFL/ IELTS score report to fulfill English Language Proficiency Requirement of CUHK. Details please refer to “Admission Requirement” page.

6. Two confidential recommendations with CUHK standard recommendation forms.

[Via Online Confidential Recommendation System] Applicants shall provide the referee(s)’s information in My Referees section of Online Application System. Email invitations and recommendation submission details will be then sent to referee(s) in the next morning by the system. Referee(s) can login Online Confidential Recommendation System with provided login ID and password to complete the online recommendation forms; OR

[By post in sealed envelope with signature] Applicants shall download and print a Confidential Recommendation Form from Online Application System for each referee. Only recommendations sealed in envelope with referees’ signatures are accepted.

7.Proof of application fee payment (Not applicable for credit card payment)

[For Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)] Deposit to Hang Seng Bank or HSBC (A/C No. 293-005005-011). The original transaction slip should be sent together with the application form as the payment record.

[For Bank draft/ Check] Payable to “The Chinese University of Hong Kong” in Hong Kong dollars. Download the "Payment Voucher" and send it to the MAcc Program Office together with the bank draft/check.

8. A photocopy of identity documents

The School of Accountancy at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has been dedicated to the education and preparation of individuals who seek careers in professional accounting and related fields for more than 50 years. The School isaccredited by both the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) - International and the Federation of Schools of Accountancy (FSA). Our programs are accredited by several professional bodies including the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the CPA (Australia). We have been a pathfinder and leader in accounting education in the region.

On research, our faculty members have published numerous papers in premier academic journals that put us in a comparable position to the top accounting programs in US. The Centre of Institute of Governance was set up in 2004 and has continuously contributed influential accounting research on emerging markets. To increase the internationalization of the school, prominent scholars from overseas institutions are invited to share their research work on a regular basis and we present our own at international conferences and institutions on a regular basis too.

Our degree programs include the BBA in Professional Accountancy (PACC), the Master of Accountancy (MAcc), the Executive Master of Professional Accountancy (EMPAcc), and the Master/Doctor of Philosophy (MPhil/PhD) in Accountancy. In particular, the EMPAcc Program is jointly offered with the Shanghai National Accounting Institute since 2002 and is the first of kind in China. We enjoy strong links with prestigious institutions around the world and overseas exchange opportunities are abundant for our students. Our graduates are consistently top performers in HKICPA qualifying exams and are in an ideal position to take up their roles as professionals and business leaders.
