Completion of a B.S. and M.S. (for Ph.D. applicants) with minimum GPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) from an ABET accredited program or program in a related field. The average undergraduate GPA and graduate GPA of recent accepted students is 3.4 and 3.6, respectively.

4.General Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Scores. Average Quantitative GRE scores of recent accepted students range near the 80th percentile. Applicants holding a UGA degree may waive this requirement if they meet GPA and undergraduate research requirements.

5.TOEFL is required for international students whose native language is other than English.

For applicants from non-English speaking countries, the TOEFL test is required, and the speaking and writing scores must equal or exceed 20 in each of these components. The total TOEFL score must equal or exceed 80. These represent Graduate School requirements.

专业介绍

Students may customize and focus their Masters in Engineering Degree or Doctor of Philosophy Degree through selection of the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Emphasis Area. The ECE Area of Emphasis is intended for students wishing to pursue a graduate degree in areas related to electrical and computer engineering. The ECE school has expertise in three broad areas: Control Systems, Electronics and Photonics, and Cyber-Physical Systems. Students will take courses and perform research in these areas providing them with the necessary skills to pursue both industrial and academic careers in cutting edge fields of engineering. The area of emphasis is indicated on the student’s transcript.
