In order to meet the educational needs of the post Civil War public, Rufus C. Crampton established Sanford-Brown College in 1866. Originally founded in Illinois, the school now has 14 campus locations across the United States that are currently accepting students for enrollment. Sanford-Brown merged with the International Academy of Design & Technology in 2014. Sanford-Brown College now offers academic programs in the fields of design, technology, business and health. Programs award graduates with professional diplomas and certificates, as well as associate and bachelor\'s degrees.
