A Recognized Bachelor's Degree with Honors
Have a recognized bachelor's degree with honors (not lower than second class lower division or B grade) or equivalent professional qualification. Applicants are required to provide the grading scheme of your university for reference.
A Satisfactory GMAT or GRE Score

Applicants should arrange to send his/her official GMAT scores (SCHOOL REPORT) to the Program Office, Master of Science Program in Marketing of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Program code is R9H-0W-23 .

GRE
Applicants should arrange to send his/her GRE scores report in ORIGINAL to the Program Office, Master of Science Program in Marketing of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The Institution Code is R3153 and the department code is 4305 .

For admission purpose, the scores of GMAT / GRE tests taken more than five (5) years before the admission year will NOT be considered.
Please note that the Selection Committee will NOT review the application if the GMAT/GRE score report is not received by the program office.
English Language Proficiency Requirements
Applicants should fulfill ONE of the following English Language Proficiency Requirements of the University before admitted to the Program:
obtain a degree from a university in Hong Kong or taken a degree programme of which the medium of instruction was English; or
achieve scores in the following English Language tests as indicated:
TOEFL (Paper-based: 550; Computer-based: 213; Internet-based: 79);
IELTS (Academic)(Band 6.5);
GMAT (Verbal) (Band 21); or
possess a passing grade in English in one of the following examinations:
Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (AS Level);
Hong Kong Higher Level Examination;
CUHK Matriculation Examination;
General Certificate of Education Examination (GCE) Advanced Level (A-Level)/Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS-Level); or
achieve Level 4 or above in the English Language subject of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination; or
obtained a recognized professional qualification; provided that the examination was conducted in English.
Degrees awarded by Overseas universities through distance learning programs
Applicants with degrees awarded by overseas universities through distance learning programs or through the completion of a curriculum of short duration are required to provide an assessment report from the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) on the level of qualification obtained.

Applicants may upload the soft-copies via the Online Application System (in the section of "Upload Supporting Documents"). However, please be reminded that you are still required to send in the originals BEFORE the deadline of each round. Otherwise, your application may not be further processed.
Application Fee
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable/non-transferable application fee of HK$300. Payment can be made by the following methods:
Credit card payment through the Online Application System.
Deposit at Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) of Hang Seng Bank or HSBC (Account No. 293-005005-011). The original of the transaction slip must be sent together with the supporting documents as the payment records. Please state your full name and application number on the transaction slip clearly for reference.
Send a bank draft/cheque in Hong Kong dollars payable to "The Chinese University of Hong Kong". Applicants paying by bank draft/cheque should download the "Payment Voucher" and send it the program office together with the payment.
Selection Process
After the submission deadline of each round, the Selection Committee will only review the applications with all required supporting documents attached. Selected candidates will be nominated for admission offer by the committee with the approval of CUHK Business School and the Graduate School. Separate emails will also send to the nominated candidates for the update. Applicants should check their email account frequently.
Application Result
An email notification will send to the successful candidates when their application status is updated and they may log in to the system to download the official admission notification. Please note that applicants will not be informed separately if their applications are not successful.

The Marketing Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong strives for excellence in the creation and dissemination of marketing knowledge for many decades. To meet the increasing demand of high caliber marketing professionals globally and especially in the Greater China Region, the department offers the Master of Science Program in Marketing to equip students with in-depth knowledge and necessary skills in all areas in marketing.
Effectively from the academic year 2016 – 2017, the Program offers two concentrations, namely, “Managerial Marketing” concentration and “Big Data Marketing” concentration. Students can choose the concentration according to their interests and career goals.
