The minimum required score for the TOEFL is 104 overall, with 4 sub scores of 26 each.
Minimum required scores in the IELTS are an overall score of 7, with sub scores of 7 each. (Note: students are required to take the Academic Reading/Writing test within IELTS, not the General Training Reading/Writing test).
GRE/GMAT:
Admission to the MPCS is highly competitive and GRE or GMAT scores are required for all applicants to the program. We specifically look for strong evidence of quantitative ability as seen in the quantitative section of these exams. Please submit official scores with your application.

The GMAT code for University of Chicago - Masters Program in Computer Science is H9x-WG-56.
The MPCS does not have minimum GRE or GMAT requirements, however, successful applicants have earned the following scores in the General GRE or GMAT tests:
Verbal: 50th percentile and above
Quantitative: 80th percentile and above
GRE Subject Test scores are not required.

Our coursework represents a realistic balance between the foundation courses (such as programming languages, algorithms, databases, computer systems, etc.) and the applied courses (such as application development, machine learning, data analytics, etc.).
