We are always looking for exceptional students to work with us in uncovering new knowledge and exploring original ways to use it. We hope that after examining our Web site you are interested in joining us. Admission to the graduate program is highly competitive. It is decided based on your academic record, test scores, recommendation letters, and experience and is highly dependent upon finding a match with a faculty member conducting sponsored research in an area matching your interest/expertise. MAE welcomes applications to enable a highly talented and diverse graduate student population.

You will be required to submit letters of recommendation and college transcripts. You will also need to take the Graduate Record Examination General Test. You are not required or encouraged to take any subject test. Students for whom English is not their native language are required to demonstrate proficiency in English by completing the TOEFL exam administered by the Educational Testing Service. They are also encouraged to take the Test of Spoken English (TSE).
